Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician (Entry Level)

(Locations: Minnesota & LaCrosse, Wisconsin.

Pay (Hourly):  $19-$23 per hour. PLUS OVERTIME.

Note:  A notional gross earnings range of $3,840-$4,800 per month based on a 40-hour work week and 4 weeks per month.

An employee-owned company headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, our projects range in all sizes and complexities, including NFL, MLB, and MLS stadiums; interstate highways; municipal and county roadways; light rail transit; bus rapid transit; commercial and multi-family low rise to high rise structures; water and wastewater plants and utilities; in situ assessment of structures and materials. Our full-scale laboratories, drilling operations, and field service Technicians complement and support our engineering and project management teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a technician, you will learn to perform a variety of testing on construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt. Onsite materials testing is conducted on various commercial and transportation construction projects.

The chosen candidate(s) will receive in-depth technical training and industry certifications upon successful completion of examinations and demonstration of ability. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and be able to lift 50-75+ pounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform field density tests of soils

Perform field concrete testing, including slump, air content, and strength

Prepare daily reports

Work with project managers and senior technicians or staff to ensure specifications are followed
